Song Yi 宋義 송의
(쑹이)
(d. 207 BCE). A general-in-chief 大將軍 of the revived Chu 楚 kingdom during the late Qin dynasty. He was killed by another revolt leader, Xiang Yu 項羽. 경자관군(Qing Zi Guan Jun 卿子冠軍)
Song Yihan 宋一韓 송일한
(쑹이한)
A Chief Supervising Secretary (都給事中) of the Office of Scrutiny for War (兵科) in the 1600s. He criticized Guangning Regional Commander (廣寧總兵) Li Chengliang's suggestion that the Ming should subjugate Korea. 송(宋)
Song Yingchang 宋應昌 송응창
(쑹이창)
(1536-1606 CE). A native of Renhe (仁和) and a jinshi of 1565. When the Japanese army invaded Joseon in the late sixteenth century, as Vice Minister of the Right (右侍郞) of the Ministry of War (兵部), he led the Ming army which when it entered the war against the Japanese. 경략(經略), 송(宋), 송경략(宋經略), 송시랑(宋侍郞), 송응(宋應), 시랑(侍郞), 응창(應昌)
Song Yingzong (Emperor Yingzong) [Zhao Shu ] 宋英宗[趙曙] 송영종
(쑹잉쭝[자오수])
Emperor Yingzong(英宗, 1032~1067) was the fifth emperor of the Song Dynasty. His personal name was originally Zhao Zongshi(趙宗實), but he later changed it to Zhao Shu(趙曙). He was the 13th son of Zhao Yunrang(趙允讓), known posthumously as Prince Pu Anyi(濮安懿王). Since Emperor Renzong(仁宗) had no surviving sons, he was installed as the heir apparent in 1055 and ascended the throne in 1063. During his reign, he attempted to promote financial reforms; however, his reforms ended in failure. 복왕(濮王), 선인(宣仁), 영종(英宗), 영종황제(英宗皇帝), 조종실(趙宗實), 조서(趙曙)
Song Youcang 宋有倉 송유창
(쑹유창)
A mobile corps commander (遊擊) under Commissioner-in-Chief (都督) Huang Long (黃龍) who was cast away on the shore of Pyeong'an Province (平安道) in Joseon in 1631. 송유격(宋游擊), 유창(有倉)

A mobile corps commander (遊擊) under Commissioner-in-Chief (都督) Huang Long (黃龍) during the Chongzhen era (1628-1644) of the Ming Dynasty.
Song Yu 宋玉 송옥
(송위)
(fl. 3rd century BCE). A native of the state of Chu 楚. One of the greatest poets in early China, to whom several poems in the Songs of the South 楚辭 are attributed.
Song Yuanxian [Song Xiang] 宋元憲[宋庠] 송원헌
(쑹위안셴[쑹샹])
Song Xiang(宋庠, 996-1066) was an official and scholar of the Song Dynasty. He was the elder brother of Song Qi(宋祁), who was in charge of creating the New History of the Tang Dynasty(新唐書) with Ouyang Xiu(歐陽脩) in the reign of Emperor Renzong(仁宗). 송원헌(宋元憲), 공서(公序), 송교(宋郊)
Song Zhenzong (Emperor Zhenzong) [Zhao Heng] 宋眞宗 송진종

Emperor Zhenzong(眞宗, 968~1022) was the 3rd emperor of the Song Dynasty. He was the son of Emperor Taizong(太宗). During his reign, the civil examination system was improved and the domestic economy was prosperous. However, he concluded humiliating treaties with the Liao, which resulted in over a century-long peace at the price of an enormous amount of annual tribute. 진(眞), 진종(眞宗), 진종조(眞宗朝), 조항(趙恒)
Song Zhezong (Emperor Zhezong) [Zhao Xu] 宋哲宗[趙煦] 송철종

Emperor Zhezong(哲宗, 1076~ 1100) was the 7th emperor of the Song Dynasty and the 6th son of Emperor Shenzong(神宗). Since he was too young to rule, Empress Dowager Xuanren(宣仁太后) ruled as regent during his early reign. Empress Dowager Xuanren promoted Sima Guang(司馬光) and abolished reforms conducted by Wang Anshi(王安石). Because of his domination of the court, Emperor Zhezong supported the reforms. As a result, his reign was plagued by the factional struggle between the conservative and reformative factions.
