Emperor Xiaozong(孝宗, 1127~1194, r. 1162-1189) was the eleventh emperor of the Song Dynasty. He was the biological son of Zhao Zicheng(趙子偁), known posthumously as Prince Xiu Anxi(秀安僖王), who was one of the 6th generation descendants of Emperor Taizu(太祖) and the adopted son of Emperor Gaozung(高宗). He supported the campaign against the Jin(金), and after failures and triumphs, he concluded a treaty with the Jin.
