Hu Yin(胡寅, 1098~1156) was an official and scholar of the Song Dynasty. Born in Jianning Superior Prefecture(建寧府), he earned the jinshi(進士) degree in 1121. He was a nephew of Hu Anguo(胡安國) and studied under Yang Shi(楊時). In the reign of Emperor Gaozong(高宗) he opposed Qin Hui(秦檜)'s attempt to make peace with the Jin(金) and was demoted. He visited Korea as an envoy in 1539. After he retired, he participated in investigating land in his hometown.
