Hu Yin(胡寅, 1098~1156) was an official and scholar of the Song Dynasty. Born in Jianning Superior Prefecture(建寧府), he earned the jinshi(進士) degree in 1121. He was a nephew of Hu Anguo(胡安國) and studied under Yang Shi(楊時). In the reign of Emperor Gaozong(高宗) he opposed Qin Hui(秦檜)'s attempt to make peace with the Jin(金) and was demoted.
