Ma Ruji 馬如驥[馬汝驥] 마여기
(마루지)
(1493-1543). A native of Suide 綏德, Shaanxi 陝西 and a jinshi of 1517. He served as Chancellor 祭酒 of the Directorate of Education 國子監 and Vice Minister of the Right 右侍郞 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部 during the Jiajing era (1522-1566) of the Ming.
Ma Shilang 馬侍郞 마시랑
(마스랑)
Personal name and exact official post unknown. A vice minister (侍郞) during the Chenghua era (1464-1487) of the Ming who asked the emperor to ban the Joseon envoys from purchasing bows in the Ming.

Ma Shilong 馬時龍 마시룡
(마스룽)
A military commander under grand secretary (閣老) Sun Chengzong (孫承宗) during the Tianqi era (1621-1627) of the Ming.
Ma Shilong 馬世龍 마세룡
(마스룽)
(d.1592) A Ming company commander (千摠) who died in the field camp after the Battle of Pyeongyang in 1592. 마총병(馬摠兵), 세룡(世龍)
Ma Shiying 馬士英 마사영
(마스잉)
(1591-1646 CE). A high-ranking bureaucrat during the late Ming period. He served as Viceroy of Fengyang (鳳陽總督) in the Ming and Senior grand Secretary (內閣首輔) in the Southern Ming (南明). He was executed by the Qing army after the fall of the Southern Ming.
Ma Su 馬謖 마속
(마쑤)
(190-228). A military general and strategist of the Shu Han 蜀漢 during the Three Kingdoms period. A native of Xiangyang Commandery 襄陽郡. In the historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms 三國志演義, he was said to have been executed on Zhuge Liang's 諸葛亮 order. However, according to the Records of Three Kingdoms 三國志, Ma Su had actually attempted to escape after his defeat at Jieting 街亭, but was arrested. He died of illness in prison before the ordered execution could be carried out. 유상(Youchang 幼常)
Ma Sui 馬燧 마수
(마쑤이)
Ma Sui(馬燧, 726-795) was a general of the Tang Dynasty. He was renowned for his battles against the rebel generals Li Lingyao(李靈曜), Tian Yue(田悅), Zhu Tao(朱滔), and Li Huaiguang(李懷光). He enjoyed the honor of being one of 33 major contributors whose portraits were on display at Lingyange(凌烟閣) by virtue of his distinguished service in wars. 마수(馬燧), 순미(洵美)
Ma Tenggao 馬騰高 마등고
(마텅가오)
A regional commander (總兵) during the Chongzhen era (1628-1644) in the late Ming period. He, with Im Gyeongeop who sought refuge from Joseon, fought against the Manchu army but surrendered after a defeat.
