He was a friend of Wang Anshi(王安石), and after Wang's downfall, he consistently carried out reforms promoted by Wang. His corpse was dug up and beheaded, and his writings were burned by the Qing authorities after an attempted revolt in 1732 by a man named Zeng Jing (曾靜). It was said that Zeng JIng had been influenced by Lü writings. |
