(291?-235 BCE). A former merchant and prime minister of the state of Qin 秦 under King Zhuangxiang 莊襄王 in the late Warring States period. He also sponsored the encyclopedic Annals of Lü Buwei 呂氏春秋 in 239 BCE. 불위(Buwei 不韋)
Lü Chan 呂産 여산
(뤼찬)
(d. 180 BCE). An elder brother of the Empress Lü during the early Western Han period. He and his whole family were exterminated on the charge of treason by chancellor Chen Ping 陳平 and grand commandant Zhou Bo 周勃.
Lü Dafang 呂大防 여대방
(뤼다팡)
Lü Dafang(呂大防, 1027~1097), courtesy name Huizhong(徽仲), was an official of the Song Dynasty. In 1049 he earned the academic degree of Jinshi(進士) by passing the imperial examination. In the reign of Emperor Zhezong(哲宗), he was demoted and exiled for being in opposition to the reforms promoted by Wang Anshi(王安石). He developed the Lü Family Community Compact(Lü shi xiang yue,呂氏鄉約) with his brothers. 여대방(呂大防)

Lü Dai 呂岱 여대
(뤼다이)
(161–256). A military general of Eastern Wu 東吳 during the Three Kingdoms period. Lü Dai was appointed Commander-in-chief 大司馬 under Sun Liang 孫亮, the second emperor of the state. 정공(Dinggong 定公)
Lü Dajun 呂大勻 여대균
(뤼다쥔)
Lü Dajun(呂大鈞, 1029~1080) was an official and scholar of the Song Dynasty. In 1059 he earned the jinshi(進士) degree. He developed the Lü Family Community Compact(呂氏鄉約) with his brothers. 여대균(呂大勻), 화숙(和叔)
Lü Dalin 呂大臨 여대림
(뤼다린)
(1044-1091 CE). A native of Lantian (藍田), Jingzhao (京兆). A prominent Neo-Confucian scholar and epigraphist during the Song Dynasty. A disciple of Cheng Yi (程颐).
Lü Daqi 呂大器 여대기
(뤼다치)
(1586-1649 CE). A jinshi of 1628. One of the key courtiers during the late Ming Dynasty. He served as Minister of War (兵部尙書) in the Southern Ming (南明) Dynasty and enthroned the Prince of Gui (桂王) Zhu Youlang (朱由榔) as emperor.
Lü Duan 呂端 여단
(뤼돤)
Lü Duan(呂端, 935~1000), born in the You Prefecture(幽 州), was an official of the Northern Song(北宋). He was appointed Grand Councilor during the reign of Emperor Taizong(太宗). After the death of Emperor Taizong(太宗), he made a great contribution in enthroning Emperor Zhenzong(眞宗) by exposing the eunuch Wang Jien(王繼恩)'s conspiracy to depose the Heir Apparent. He was posthumously honored as Zhenghui(正惠). 려(呂), 여단(呂端), 역직(易直)
