Zhang Yue(張說, 666-730) was an official and skillful author during the Tang Dynasty(唐朝). He entered the government in the reign of the Empress Wu Zetian(則天武后), and served as chancellor under Emperor Ruizong(睿宗) and Emperor Xuanzong(玄宗). 설(說), 장열(張說), 도제(道濟)

Zhang Yuxi(掌禹錫, 992~1068) was an official of the Northern Song Dynasty. He came from Xu Prefecture(許州) and earned the jinshi degree in the reign of Emperor Zhenzong(眞宗). Referred as to a well-informed man with broad vision, he participated in the compilation of Huangyoufangyituzhi皇祐方域圖志, and Kaibaobencao開寶本草. 우석(禹錫), 당경(唐卿)

Zhang Zai(張載, 1020~1077) was a neo-Confucian philosopher of the Song Dynasty. In the reign of Emperor Shenzong(神宗), since he opposed Wang Anshi(王安石)'s reforms, he retired from office and returned to his hometown. A senior scholar. In 1383 when he was in his 70s, Emperor Taizu of Ming 明太祖 granted him an audience. The emperor wanted to hire him as teacher for his crown son and crown grandson as well as advisor for himself; however, he rejected the offer. 장장년(張長年)

(156-236). A scholar, calligrapher, and civilian official serving under Sun Quan 孫權 in the Eastern Han and Three Kingdoms periods. When Cao Cao 曹操 attacked Sun Quan, Zhang Zhao suggested a surrender but the suggestion was refused. 자포(Zibu 子布)

A Ming envoy who came to Korea in 1568 in order to install King Seonjo 宣祖 as the King of Joseon. He collected many gifts in Korea and secretly transported the gifts to China when he returned home. 장조(張朝)
