Qi Empress (奇皇后, 1315–1369) was the second empress of Toghun Temür Khan of the Yuan Dynasty and the mother of Ayushiridar. She was born in Haengju (幸州), Goryeo Korea and was the daughter of Gi Ja-o (奇子敖). The collapse of the Mongol rule of China in 1368 forced her to flee to Yingchang (應昌). In 1370 when Toghun Temür Khan died and Ayurshiridar ascended to the throne, she became Empress Dowager. There are no records of her life after 1370. | 기황후(奇皇后), 올제이 후투그(Öljei Khutugh) |

(1528-1588). A native of Luqiao 魯橋, Shandong 山東. Born to a hereditary military family, he started military training very young and became commander of the Dengzhou garrison 登州衛 at the age of 17. In 1553, he was promoted to assistant regional military commissioner 都指揮僉事 of the Shandong 山東 defense force against Japanese pirates. He moved to Zhejiang 浙江 and Fujian 福建 and eventually defeated the pirates decisively. As the southeastern coastal areas came under control, he was sent to Jizhou 薊州 to defend Beijing against the Mongols. He reinforced the Great Wall and successfully blocked the Mongol's southern invasion for 16 years. In 1583 with his health failing, he was awarded a sinecure in Guangdong 廣東.
