Niu Hong 牛弘 우홍
(니우훙)
Niu Hong(牛弘, 545-610) was an official of the Sui dynasty(隋). After his father's death, he inherited the title Lord of Linjing(臨逕公). In the reign of Emperor Wen of the Sui(隋文帝), he was appointed to the Directorate of the Imperial Library(秘書監). He contributed greatly to collecting books which had been scattered and lost during war. 우홍(牛弘), 이인(里仁)

Niu Xianke 牛仙客 우선객
(니우셴커)
Niu Xianke(牛仙客, 675-742) was an official and a general of the Tang Dynasty. He started his career as a low-ranking employee of a county(縣) but was later promoted to military governor(節度使) and then eventually to chancellor. As military governor, he cut expenses to fill his provincial warehouses and kept arms in good condition. After he became chancellor, he faithfully followed Li Linfu(李林甫) in order to preserve his position and made no significant contributions to the state. 선객(仙客), 우선객(牛仙客)

Consort (Zhaorong) Niu(牛昭容, ?-?) was a concubine of Emperor Shunzong(順宗). After Shunzong had a stroke and could not speak, she , along with the eunuch Li Zhongyan(李忠言), gained the imperial trust. She transferred the imperial messeges and decisions of the Emperor. In collusion with Wang Pi(王伾), Imperial Scholar(翰林學士) and others, she wielded power for a time. Nothing is known of her life after Shunzong abdicated in favor of the Crown Prince, Emperor Xianzong(憲宗). 우소용(牛昭容)
