Niu Xianke(牛仙客, 675-742) was an official and a general of the Tang Dynasty. He started his career as a low-ranking employee of a county(縣) but was later promoted to military governor(節度使) and then eventually to chancellor. As military governor, he cut expenses to fill his provincial warehouses and kept arms in good condition. She transferred the imperial messeges and decisions of the Emperor. In collusion with Wang Pi(王伾), Imperial Scholar(翰林學士) and others, she wielded power for a time.
