In 1604 when he was serving as Vice Minister 侍郞 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部, Joseon sent an envoy to Ming to receive Ming's agreement on the replacement of Prince Imhae 臨海君 with Prince Gwanghae 光海君 as the crown prince. Li Tingzhi(李庭芝, 1219~1276) was an official in the later period of the Southern Song Dynasty. He came Sui Prefecture(隨州). In 1275 he was made Vice Councilor(參知政事) for rendering distinguished services during the war against the Mongol. After the fall of Lin'an(臨安), he refused to surrender to the Mongol and escaped.
