Li Qingcheng(李淸臣) was an official of the Northern Song Dynasty. After Emperor Zhezong(哲宗) ascended the throne, he was promoted Assistant Director of the Department of State Affairs (尚書左丞) and then Vice Director of the Imperial Secretariat(中書侍郎) when Emperor Zhezong began to rule without the regency of the empress dowager. Li Qingyuan(李慶遠, ?-?), was an official in the reign of Emperor Ruizong (睿宗) of Tang (唐朝). He contributed to the coup of the Crown Prince (later Emperor Xuanzong (玄宗)), killing supporters of the Empress Wei(韋后). Later, depending on Xuanzong's favor, he took a significant number of bribes. Originally a Ming brigade general 遊擊 at Fushun 撫順. In 1618 he surrendered to Nurhaci 努爾哈赤. He was the first Ming official to surrender to the Qing. Nurhaci gave him a daughter of his son, Abatai. Later he became a third class regional commander 總兵 . He contributed meritorious service during the Battle of Sarhu 薩爾滸 in 1618. He also participated in the invasion of Joseon in 1627.
