Zhang Gang(張綱), a native of Run Prefecture(潤州), was an official of the Song Dynasty. In 1116 he was appointed Erudite of the National University(太學博士) and later transferred to Editor of the Palace Library(祕書省校書郎). He was demoted for offending the Grand Councilor Cai Jing(蔡京). In 665, when Emperor Gaozong(高宗) visited his house on the way to make sacrifices to heaven and earth(封禪) at Mount Tai(泰山) , he asked him about the secret of his united and harmonious family.
