Li Guinian(李龜年, ?-?) was a musician of the Tang Dynasty(唐朝). His brothers, Li Pengnian(李彭年) and Li Henian(李鶴年) were also well known musicians. He gained the favor of Emperor Xuanzong(玄宗). During the An Shi Rebellion(安史之亂), he fled to Jiangnan(江南) and died there. At that time Du Fu(杜甫) also fled to Jiangnan(江南), and once met Li Guinian by chance. Deeply moved with the meeting, Du Fu(杜甫) wrote the famous poem, "Encounting Li Guinian in Jiangnan"(江南逢李龜年). | 이구년(李龜年) |

He was appointed Minister 尙書 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部 and Grand Secretary 大學士 in the Tianqi 天啓 reign due to his being a fellow country man of Wei Zhongxian 魏忠賢, a powerful eunuch.
