A senior scholar. In 1383 when he was in his 70s, Emperor Taizu of Ming 明太祖 granted him an audience. The emperor wanted to hire him as teacher for his crown son and crown grandson as well as advisor for himself; however, he rejected the offer. 장장년(張長年)
Zhang Zhao 張朝 장조
(장자오)
A Ming envoy who came to Korea in 1568 in order to install King Seonjo 宣祖 as the King of Joseon. He collected many gifts in Korea and secretly transported the gifts to China when he returned home. 장조(張朝)
Zhang Zhao 張昭 장소
(장자오)
(156-236). A scholar, calligrapher, and civilian official serving under Sun Quan 孫權 in the Eastern Han and Three Kingdoms periods. When Cao Cao 曹操 attacked Sun Quan, Zhang Zhao suggested a surrender but the suggestion was refused. 자포(Zibu 子布)
Zhang Zhengyi 張正一 장정일
(장정이)
WZhang Zhengyi(張正一, ?-?) was an official in the reign of the Emperor Dezong(德宗) of the Tang Dynasty(唐朝). When Wang Shuwen(王叔文) and his associates gave a party for the Crown Prince, who would become Emperor Shunzong(順宗), Zhang Zhengyi criticized them. As a consequence, Wang and his party members made false accusations against Zhang, and Zhang was driven from the court. 장정일(張正一)

According to the Veritable Records of the Joseon Dynasty, he was a military warlord during the Ming-Qing transition with his base on Sichuan 四川. However, no other sources mention him. It seems that the authors of the veritable records actually mean Zhang Xianzhong 張獻忠, the military warlord of Sichuan 四川 who established Great West 大西. 장충현(張忠顯)

Zhang Zhushi 張朱士 장주사
(장주스)
A soldier in Liaodong 遼東. When the horses under his charge died, he came across the Amnok River 鴨綠江 and stole horses from Korean farms, but he was captured by Korean soldiers. The Joseon court handed him over to the local government of Liaodong in 1408. 장주사(張朱士)
