전겸익 (쳰쳰이) |
(1582-1664). An official and scholar, a jinshi of 1610. He had very good relationships with highly educated women of his time. He even received them as his consorts. He was also a critical member of the Donglin party 東林黨 and the Fushe 復社. He served in the Southern Ming court as Minister 尙書 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部, but when Dodo attacked Nanjing 南京, he surrendered to the Qing army. In the Qing court, he became Vice Minister 侍郞 of the same ministry for a short time. His most well known work was Liechao shiji 列朝詩集, a collection of biographies of middle and lower class people of the 16th and 17th centuries. | 겸익(謙益) |

Qian Shimeng(錢師孟) was an official of the Song Dynasty. During the reign of Emperor Shenzong(神宗), it was said that if the statue of Buddha in Yongzhou(邕州) was shaken, a national crisis would occur.
