Nan Jiyan 南霽雲 남제운
(남지옌)
Nan Jiyan(南霽雲, 712-757) was a general in the reign of the Emperors Xuanzong(玄宗) and Suzong(肅宗) of Tang(唐). During the Rebellion of An and Shi(安史之亂), he took an crucial part in the defence of Suiyang Cheng(睢陽城). However, Suiyang Cheng(睢陽城) was eventually taken and he was executed. 남제운(南霽雲), 남팔(南八)

(난탕)
A native of Shangnan 商南 and a jinshi of 1484, and served as Director 郎中 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部 and Provincial Administration Commissioner of the Left (左布政使) of Henan 河南 during the Hongzhi era (1488-1505).

The father of Emperor Guangwu of Han 漢光武帝. 유흠(Liu Qin 劉欽)
Nang Wa 囊瓦 낭와
(낭와)
A prime minister (lingyin 令尹) of the state of Chu 楚 during the Spring and Autumn period. In 506 BCE, Chu was greatly defeated by allied forces led by King Helü of Wu. Subsequently, Nang Wa fled to the state of Zheng 鄭.

A son of Meng Xi Zi 孟僖子 who was a head of the ministerial lineage Mengsun 孟孫 in the state of Lu 魯. He became a disciple of Confucius following his father's will.
Nangong Kuo 南宮适 남궁괄
(난궁쿼)
One of the so-called seventy-two disciples of Confucius. Confucius is said to have called him "junzi" 君子 (superior person) admiring his moral conduct. 여양후(Ruyang Hou 汝陽侯), 남용(Nan Rong 南容)
