Xu Yuan 許遠 허원
(쉬위안)
Xu Yuan(許遠, 709-757) was a loyalist of the Tang Dynasty who fought against An Lushan(安祿山)'s forces. Born in Hang prefecture(杭州), he became jinshi in the Kaiyuan era(開元年間). In 755, when An Lushan rebelled against the Tang Dynasty, he was appointed Governor of Suiyang(睢陽太守). He defended Suiyang(睢陽) against An Lushan's large army for a year. However he was defeated, captured, and executed. 원(遠), 허원(許遠)

A company commander (百戶) from Ningbo (寧波) in Zhejiang (浙江) who was cast away on the shore of Pungju (豐州), Joseon in 1409.
