A native of the state of Chu 楚 during the Spring and Autumn period. A disciple of Confucius. 당양후(Dangyang Hou 當陽侯)

(d. 118 CE). The protector-general of the Western Regions 西域都護 during the reign of Emperor He of Han 漢和帝.

Ren Yi 任顗 임의
(런이)
An official of the Former Zhao 前趙 during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. His daughter became one of Liu Cong(劉聰)'s consorts. When Chen Yuanda 陳元達 dared to admonish Liu Cong, the emperor of the state, about his extravagance, Ren Yi and other officials persuaded the emperor not to execute Chen Yuanda.
