Liu Shu(劉恕, 1032-1078), born in Jun Prefecture(筠州), was a historian of the Song Dynasty. He earned the jinshi degree(進士) in 1032 and assisted Sima Guang(司馬光) to compile the Comprehensive Mirror to Aid in Government(資治通鑑). As he had a profound knowledge about Chinese history, Sima Guang consulted him about obscure historical facts. He wrote the Annals of Ten Dynasties(十國紀年) and the Outer Record of Comprehensive Mirror(通鑑外紀). 유서(劉恕), 도원(道原)

A Ming fugitive to Joseon Korea. The Joseon court sent him back to China in 1509. 유솔(劉率)
Liu Shui 劉蛻 유태
(리우수이)
Liu Shui(劉蛻) was an official in the reign of Emperor Yizong(懿宗) of the Tang Dynasty. In 864, Zhang Yun(張雲) and Liu Shui(劉蛻) impeached Linghu Hao(令狐滈), chancellor Linghu Tao(令狐綯)'s son. However, Linghu Tao submitted a petition defending his son. In the end, Emperor Yizong demoted both Zhang Yun(張雲) and Liu Shui(劉蛻). 유태(劉蛻)
Liu Sui 劉隨 유수
(류수이)
Liu Sui(劉隨) was an official during the reign of Emperor Renzong(仁宗). He came from Kaifeng(開封) and earned the jinshi degree(進士). Since Emperor Renzong was too young to rule without adult supervision, Empress Dowager Mingsu(明肅太后) ruled as regent during the early reign of emperor. He criticized the Empress Dowager when she continued to interfere in political affairs even after Emperor Renzong reached the age of majority. 유수(劉隨), 중예(仲豫)

He came to Joseon as adjutant 中軍 of the Ming general, Yang Zuling 梁祖齡 during the Imjin War (aka Hideyoshi's Invasion). He caused much trouble while staying in Joseon. 유천질(劉天秩), 천질(天秩), 유중군(劉中軍)
Liu Ting 劉綎 유정
(류팅)
(1558-1619). A native of Nanchang 南昌, Jiangxi 江西. A general in the Late Ming. He used a heavy sword of 120 jin so that he was known as Big Sword Liu 劉大刀. As his father was a military commander, he was hereditarily appointed as a military official. He distinguished himself in successive wars against Burma (1583) and Yang Yinglong's 楊應龍 Rebellion (1600). He came to Korea during the Imjin War (aka Hideyoshi's Invasion) and defeated the Japanese army several times.
