공유덕 (쿵요우더) |
(c.1604~1652). A native of Liaoyang, Liaodong. He was a subordinate general of Mao Wenlong 毛文龍 but revolted with Li Jiucheng 李九成 and Geng Zhongming 耿仲明 and others in 1632 (Wuqiao Revolt 吳橋兵變). Defeated by the Ming, they defected to the Manchu with Western-style cannons. Welcomed by Hong Taiji, he participated in the Second Manchu Invasion of Korea in 1636 as well as the invasion of China proper in the 1640s. Kou Zhun(寇準, 961-1023) was a Grand Councilor of the Song Dynasty. Although he enjoyed the full confidence of Emperor Taizong(太宗), he was demoted several times due to his stubbornness. When the Liao(遼) invaded the Song, he advised Emperor Zhenzong(眞宗) to personally command an expeditionary force.
