He served as Doctor of the National Academy(國子博士), Deputy President of the National University(國子司業), and then Chancellor of the National University(國子祭酒) sucessively. He was an expert of the Spring and Autumn Annals(春秋), Book of History(尚書), Book of Songs(詩經), Book of Rites(禮記), and Book of Changes(周易).
