Yang Yao 楊幺 양요
(양야오)
Yang Yao(楊幺, 1108~1135) was a leader of rebel forces during the early Southern Song period. He rebelled against the Song court following Zhong Xiang(鍾相) in 1130, and after the death of Zhong Xiang, he continued to resist with Xia Cheng(夏誠), Huang Zuo(黃佐) and Zhou Lun(周倫) at Lake Dongting (洞庭湖). In the reign of Emperor Gaozong(高宗), he was defeated by Yue Fei(岳飛) and killed. 양요(楊幺)
Yang Yi 楊儀 양의
(양이)
(d. 235). An official of the Shu Han 蜀漢 during the Three Kingdoms period and a native of Xiangyang Commandery 襄陽郡. At first he was a subject of Cao Cao 曹操, later served Liu Bei(劉備) and was appointed the Imperial Secretariat 尚書\). After Zhuge Liang's death during his northern campaign against the Cao Wei 曹魏, Yang Yi conflicted with Wei Yan 魏延 on whether to follow Zhuge's orders to retreat. He finally won in a battle against Wei Yan. He was imprisoned for his libelous criticism of the Shu Han, and eventually committed suicide in prison. 위공(Weigong 威公)
Yang Yi 楊億 양억
(양이)
Yang Yi(楊億, 974~1020) was a writer and poet of the Northern Song dynasty. Renowned as a child prodigy, he was appointed to the post of Proofreader of the Palace Library(秘書省正字) at the age of 11 and later in 992 he earned the jinshi(進士) degree. He participated in the compilation of the Veritable Records of Emperor Taizu(太祖實錄) and the Prime Tortoise of the Record Bureau(冊府元龜). He was posthumously honored as Wen(文). 양억(楊億), 대년(大年)

(양이쿠이)
A kinsman of Ming mobile corps commander (遊擊) Yang Wanjin (楊萬金) who was dispatched to Joseon during the Imjin War(or Hideyoshi's Invasion).

A Ming registrar (經歷) who was dispatched to Joseon to investigate border issues in 1540.
Yang Yingcheng 楊應誠 양응성
(양잉청)
Yang Yingcheng(楊應誠) was an official during the reign of Emperor Gaozong(高宗) of the Southern Song Dynasty. In 1128, he was sent on an embassy to Goryeo(高麗). He requested permission to pass through Goryeo(高麗) in order to enter Jin(金), but his request was denied. 양응성(楊應誠)

Yang Yinglong 楊應龍 양응룡
(양잉룽)
(1551-1600 CE). The 29th chief of the aboriginal office (土司) in Bozhou (播州), Sichuan (四川). He rebelled against the Ming but was defeated in 1599. 응룡(應龍)

A jinshi of 1589; a Supervising Secretary (給事中) of the Office of Scrutiny for Justice (刑科) in 1599
Yang Yiqing 楊一淸 양일청
(양이칭)
(1454-1530 CE). A native of Dantu (丹徒), Zhenjiang (鎭江) and a jinshi of 1472. He ousted powerful eunuch Liu Jin (劉瑾) during the Zhengde era (1506-1521) and served as Senior Grand Secretary (內閣首輔) during the Jiajing era (1522-1566) of the Ming. 일청(一淸)
