Later he was promoted as high as a Senior Grand Secretary (內閣首輔) during the Zhengde era (1506-1521) of the Ming. He abandoned his official post and retired to his hometown during the so-called Great Rites Controversy in the Jiajing era (1522-1566). | |

Yang Wang(楊汪, ?-?), was an official who served as censor(監察御使) in the reign of the Emperor Xuanzong(玄宗) of the Tang(唐). When Zhang Shensu(張審素) was falsely accused of treason, Xuanzong ordered Yang to inspect the case.
