Yang Su(楊素, ?-606) was a powerful general and politician during the Sui Dynasty(隋). He was born in Huayin district(華陰縣), Hongnong commandery(弘農郡). It is widely believed that he was involved in the mysterious death of Emperor Wen(文帝) in 604 although there is no direct evidence. After his death in 613, his son Yang Xuan'gan(楊玄感) rose in revolt against Emperor Yang(煬帝). However, he was defeated and killed. Yang Su's other sons were executed and his tomb was destroyed.
