Yao Lingyan(姚令言, ?-784) was an official and general of the Tang Dynasty(唐朝). He was appointed military governor of Jingyuan(涇原節度使) but later rebelled. After his rebellion was crushed, he fled to Tibet(吐蕃). When they refused to provide asylum, his subordinates assassinated him and delivered his head to Chang’an. 요령언(姚令言)

A native of Zhejiang (浙江) who won a jinshi degree in 1583; he served as a censor (御史) of Shandong Circuit (山東道) during the Wanli era (1573-1620) of the Ming and later was promoted to Minister of Works (工部尙書) during the Tianqi era (1621-1627).

A jinshi of 1592; a Supervising Secretary (給事中) of the Office of Scrutiny for Revenue (戶科) during the Wanli era (1573-1620) of the Ming.

Yao Xing 姚興 요흥

(366-416). An emperor of the Later Qin 後秦 during the Sixteen Kingdoms period, and the son of the founding emperor Yao Chang 姚萇. In 416 Yao Xing was posthumously honored as Emperor Wenhuan 文桓皇帝 with the temple name of Gaozu 高祖. 자략(Zilüe 子略)

(280-352). A powerful general and the Qiang 羌 chieftain under the Later Zhao 後趙 emperor Shi Hu 石虎. The father of Yao Chang 姚萇, the founding emperor of the Later Qin 後秦 during the Sixteen Kingdoms period. Later, he was posthumously honored as Emperor Jingyuan 景元皇帝. 익중(Yizhong 弋仲)
