A native of Taicang 太倉, the Southern Metropolitan Area 南直隸. He served as Director 郎中 of the Ministry of Rites 禮部 during the reign of the Zhengde Emperor 正德帝. While serving as Surveillance Vice Commissioner of Yunnan (雲南副使) for four years, he rendered distinguished services in Yunnan, pacifying bandits. 
Jiang Longxi 蔣龍溪 장룡계
(쟝롱시)
An envoy to Japan. In 1557 he brought an edict to the King of Japan that Japan should supress pirates. 룡계(龍溪), 장(蔣), 장부사(蔣副使)

Jiang Nucai(姜怒才) was a commoner of the Ming(明) who was a prisoner of Jurchen(女眞) and later escaped to Joseon(朝鮮) in the time of Seongjong(成宗). 강노재(姜奴才)

(쟝선)
One of the commandants (守備) during the Chongzhen era (1628-1644) of the Ming Dynasty.
Jiang Shen 蔣伸 장신
(장선)
Jiang Shen(蔣伸) was an official of the Tang Dynasty who served Emperor Yizong(懿宗) as chancellor. He warned Emperor Xuanzong(宣宗) that if people got government posts by dishonest means, the nation would be in trouble. Emperor Xuanxong praised him as a faithful subject. 장신(蔣伸)

Jiang Sheng(1730~1806) was a statesman of Qing China. He was born in Jiangxi, and earned the jinshi degree in 1766. He served as Minister of the Ministry of Justice. 광우(光宇)

(쟝숴)
One of the Ming commoners who were cast away on the shore of Tae'an 泰安 of Joseon in the thirty-ninth year (1544) of King Jungjong 中宗 of Joseon.
