Dang Jinyu 党進玉 당진옥
(당진위)
A surbodinate under Ming Army-Inspecting Censor (jianjun yushi 監軍御史) Chen Xiao (陳效) who was dispatched to Joseon during the Japanese Invasions of Joseon during the late sixteenth century.
Dang Renhong 黨仁弘 당인홍
(당런훙)
Dang Renhong(黨仁弘) was one of founding contributers of the Tang Dynasty. Originally he was a general of the Sui Dyasty. However, when Li Yuan(李淵) rebelled against Sui, he surrendered to Li Yuan with his 2000 soldiers. In the reign of Emperor Taizong(太宗), he committed a crime, but Emperor Taizong granted a pardon out of respect for their old friendship. 당인홍(党仁弘)
Dang Yi 黨一 당일
(당이)
One of the Ming commoners taken captive by the Japanese pirates who pillaged Ningbo (寧波). He was released and sent back to the Ming by the Joseon authorities in 1523. 당일(党一)
Dang Zhixiao 黨至孝 당지효
(당즈샤오)
A servant of the Ming envoy who was dispatched to Joseon in the third year (1625) of King Injo (仁祖) of Joseon. He arbitrarily asked the Joseon authorities for many goods for his service. He accompanied a Ming envoy again in the twelfth year (1634) of King Injo when he was called Di Guangyao (翟光耀). 지효(至孝)

Dantai Mieming 澹臺滅明 담대멸명
(단타이몌밍)
A native of Wucheng 武城 in the state of Lu 魯. One of the prominent disciples of Confucius. He was so ugly that Confucius thought meanly of his talent at first. After completing his studies, however, he was followed by about three hundred disciples. Confucius confessed that he misjudged him due to his bad looks. 자우(Zi Yu 子羽), 금향후(Jin Xiang Hou 金鄕侯)
Danzhu 丹朱 단주
(단주)
A son of Emperor Yao. Because Danzhu did not have enough virtue to be the Emperor, Emperor Yao did not designate him as his successor, and turned over the throne to Shun 舜. There is a legend that Emperor Yao created Chinese chess to train his son Danzhu.
Dao Gong 悼公 도공
(다오궁)
(586-558 BCE; r. 573-558 BCE). Duke Dao. A ruler of state of Jin 晉 during the Spring and Autumn period who was enthroned by a coup d'etat led by the ministerial lineages of Luan 欒 and Zhonghang 中行. 도(Dao 悼), 진도공(Jin Dao Gong 晉悼公)

The wife of Liu Ju 劉據 who was the deposed heir apparent of Emperor Wu of Han 漢武帝. The grandmother of Emperor Xuan 宣帝. 려부인(Li Furen 戾夫人)
