A king of the Shang dynasty. He is one of the earliest figures confirmed by oracle bone inscriptions 甲骨文. While the Records of the Grand Scribe 史記 record him as the twenty-second Shang king, the oracle bone inscriptions excavated at Anyang show that he was the twenty-first Shang king. He launched several military campaigns against neighboring tribes such as the Guifang 鬼方.
