Li Jiancheng(李建成, 589-626) was the son of Emperor Gaozu(高祖) of the Tang Dynasty(唐). He was proclaimed crown prince in 618; however, his brother Li Shimin(李世民) was dissatisfied. The rivalry between Li Jiancheng and Li Shimin finally led to the Xuanwu Gate (玄武門) Incident. In 626, Li Shimin ambushed Li Jiancheng at the Xuanwu Gate(玄武門) and killed him. | 건성(建成) |
