Zong Ze(宗澤, 1059 ~ 1128) was a renowned general of the Song Dynasty. He came from Wu Prefecture(婺州) and earned the jinshi (進士) degree in 1091. In the reigns of Emperor Qinzong(欽宗) and Gaozong(高宗) he distinguished himself in war against the Jin(金). He selected Yue Fei(岳飛) as his staff officer and attempted to push north to recapture all lost territory. He was posthumously as Zhongjian(忠簡). | 종택(宗澤), 여림(汝霖) |
